How to introduce one's self?
i am a life being lived.
i take myself to be that which is aware amidst an unceasing cascade of experiential moments.
i am sometimes known as father, partner,  counsellor, group facilitator, trainee psychologist and more often than not, a fool (that's the way, uh-huh uh-huh,  i like it).
My life has been simple and fun and blessed thus far, not to mention confounding, confusing, excruciating and painful. I have searched and continue to search, but I am more relaxed about that now than I used to be. I have experienced glimpses of “truth” and in fleeting moments, seen through the illusion of self  (but that is not an enduring state for me at present). I recognise the wonderful humour and compassion that is the universe. I have,once upon a time, had the rug pulled out from under me and (almost?) drowned in the waters mystics are thought to swim in. I have been taking swimming lessons over the past decade or so but also do a lot of floating.
I have fallen in love and love has fallen in me.  I was surprised and grateful when I realised what was going on and now an extraordinary being is entrusted to our care. We have suffered and faltered in our duty and blessing but we remain true to our jah-work as parents. It seems that my son has decided I needed a teacher (perhaps he knew I was looking for one) and has taken it upon himself to take on that role.
